They really aced show not tell.

It is a PLOT POINT that they are soulmates who will forever meet throughout time. It is CANON that they are married in the present day. There is an entire episode that culminates in a SLEEPING BEAUTY KISS.

This was a 90s/00s show, and yet we still see Xena on her knees, telling Gabrielle that she'd gladly spend her last moments looking into Gabrielle's eyes. The show's "subtext" is so much more than we get in sapphic shows even now.

It will heal your soul and you should watch it.

My mom just told me her neighbor no longer wanted their cat. Because said cat had given birth, they want to keep the kittens and give away the cat to a shelter.

I started to cry because this broke my little heart. It’s an animal that loves you, you heartless monster, not a sock that you throw away when you get a new one! 🥺🥺

Plagiarism is so deeply fucked up. Writers (and all creators) pour so much of their love and effort into these works. Reposters take it for... what? Internet points?

The fandom-swap fics are especially baffling to me. Do you understand your characters so little that you think copy-pasting from a completely different fandom will still capture them?

This goes beyond having different interpretations, or exploration, or reinvention (all of which have their place in fandom). The writing was literally not written with your characters in mind.

What does that say about the thought you put into them?
